2K Sports revealed today their new in-game playable feature, similar to ESPN NFL 2K5 “ESPN25th Anniversary” which lets you recreate 25 classic NFL scenarios, called “NBA Greatest”.
In NBA Greatest, players can relive 15 most memorable rivalries from classic NBA teams and outstanding players such as Julius Erving, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and other basketball icons.
“The NBA 2K franchise has become an essential part of the NBA culture, and our fans can now take control of legendary teams and athletes from the NBA’s rich history,” said Jason Argent, vice president of marketing for 2K Sports. “With ‘NBA’s Greatest’ mode, NBA 2K12 will allow fans to prove once and for all who are the greatest basketball icons of all time.”
Which means gamers will have a chance to see who truly is the greatest team in basketball, virtually. Is it the Chicago Bulls team of Jordan/Pippen or the big three in South Beach? You’ll be able to do this and other great match-ups once you complete/unlock 15 of the greatest NBA team and players rivalries in NBA Greatest.
