Rodriguez homered no. 498

Alex Rodriguez shot one off Tampa Bay pitcher Shawn Camp on the bottom of the sixth on a 0-1 pitch. Rodriguez currently lead the league in both home runs (34) and RBIs (99). He will turn 32 on July 27, if Rodriguez reach 500 before his birthday, he will become the youngest of the prestigious home run club to accomplish this feat. Rodriguez would replace Jimmie Foxx, who was 27 days away from turning 33 on September 24, 1940. Rodriguez is two shy of 500.
