E3 2011: Madden NFL 12 Hall of Fame Edition Cover Athlete

Marshall Faulk-RB #28

This year Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee is also the cover athlete for this year Madden NFL 12 Hall of Fame Edition. Over his stupendous 12-year career, Faulk amassed 12,279 rushing yards, 100 rushing touchdowns. And in the receiving end – 6,875 yards (rank first as a running back) and 36 TD’s. He also grace the cover of Madden NFL 2003, see below.

What’s our take on the cover ?

Love the premium bronze, foil embossed cover. Signature is a nice touch – true Hall of Fame choice.

  1. So are all Hall of Famers in NFL in this game or what?

Not quite. In 2007, EA released their first Hall of Fame edition cover, which none other than John Madden, (he was also inducted on that year). Madden NFL 07 hall of fame edition came with an bonus DVD featuring John Madden interviews, first season of Madden Nation TV that aired on ESPN, Music of Madden – interviews of feature artists of Madden 07. Making of Madden hosted by ESPN Trey Wingo.

And now five years later, EA is releasing another HOF edition. This could be a every five year fhing for EA. As far as I know no mention of previous Hall of Famer being in the game. Maybe they should at least have Marshall Faulk in the game.
