Thank You Steve Jobs

There are many great things/tributes that already have been said about Steve Jobs. His legacy, impact he made in our tech industry and industry as a whole. This is just my experiences and thoughts about him.

My earliest memories of Apple products was during my elementary school years. A classroom, and on the side sat a few apple personal computers. I remember playing with and loving Apple’s beautiful Macintosh computer. One game in particular that I enjoyed playing during breaks at school was Oregon Trails. I spent countless hours on that PC and it showed what the future would be like at schools, home, and businesses.

Ask yourself – the way we communicate, how we consume information – would all that be within reach if it wasn’t for Steve Jobs? In many ways no. Jobs, Steve Wozniak, Bill Gates, Apple & Microsoft ushered in the use of personal computers. The things we love to do now:  facebook, twitter, and Google (ing) would not have been possible. I wouldn’t be an insidesportsgeek if it wasn’t for this technology. I am in many ways a geek because of that and it is the reason why I love everything about technology. Steve Jobs pioneered that with his vision.

A vision on how personal computers should be and that’s even more apparent now with the introduction of the iPad. Tablet computing is here and its changing how we work and play and we have Steve Jobs to thank for that.

Thank you Steve Jobs.
